Job summary

Armstrong Watson in Carlisle is recruiting for the Level 7 Chartered Pathway Programme: a six-year trainee accountant and tax adviser scheme starting September 2027. You’ll study ACA/ATT/CTA, gain real client experience, and progress toward Level 7 (Masters-level) status while earning a salary.

You’ll rotate across Service Lines in the Business Services division, with structured learning, mentorship, and funded professional qualifications to support your progression as a trusted adviser.

Qualifications

• UCAS points: minimum 96 across A Levels/Scottish Highers
• GCSEs: at least 7, including Maths and English
• Age requirement: at least 18 by 31 August 2027

Responsibilities

• Start professional career while studying for globally recognised qualifications
• Work across Accountancy and Tax pathways (ACA/ATT/CTA)
• Gain experience in Business Services, Audit & Assurance, and other tax/CFO areas
• Complete a six-year structured programme with progression to Level 7 qualification
