Job summary

PKF Francis Clark is seeking a Trainee Accountant to work with our Professional Practices team, supporting law firms and professional clients while pursuing the AAT and ACA qualifications. You’ll handle real client projects from day one, gaining hands‑on experience across accounting, tax and audit in a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

The role offers funded training, a clear progression path, and opportunities to advance into senior client‑facing roles within a growing regional firm.

Qualifications

• No previous accountancy experience required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 112 UCAS points (three A Levels)
• GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or above
• Willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required

Responsibilities

• Develop technical, commercial and interpersonal skills through structured training and hands‑on experience
• Assist with preparation of year‑end accounts, management accounts, financial analysis, forecasts and projections
• Gain experience in company and business taxation, VAT and company secretarial matters
• Build a broad understanding of accounting, tax, audit and business advisory services
• Be part of a supportive team with a strong reputation in the legal and professional services sector
