Job summary

Bk Plus in Cobham is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our team. You will prepare financial accounts for a range of clients, including sole traders and small groups, and assist with audits under supervision.

You’ll work closely with managers and partners to deliver accounts, audit and advisory work, and build strong client relationships. Full study support within an ICAEW training office is provided, with real exposure to owner-managed businesses and varied client bases.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and colleagues.
• A positive attitude, great work ethic and willingness to learn.

Job description

We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Cobham Team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and small groups.

Assist with audits for larger clients, including planning, fieldwork and completion under supervision.

Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including posting journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll.

Prepare control reconciliations and analytical review schedules.

Work closely with managers and partners to support the delivery of accounts, audit and advisory assignments.

Liaise with clients in a professional and timely manner, building strong working relationships.

Support special projects for clients seeking finance, acquisitions or wider business advice.

Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.

Candidate Requirements
