Job summary

Northern is seeking a Train Dispatcher to manage platform departures from Wilmslow, ensuring trains run safely and punctually while communicating with crews and control rooms. The role requires vigilance for disruptions and strict adherence to safety procedures.

You’ll deliver timely information to passengers, especially during delays. It’s a full-time on-site position with probationary pay of £24,904 rising to £27,004 after probation; a range of employee benefits is provided as part of

What you’ll be doing:
  • Dispatching trains safely and punctually from station platforms
  • Communicating clearly with train crews, station staff, and control rooms
  • Monitoring train movements and responding quickly to disruptions or changes

About you :
