Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Traffic Regulation Officer for a highways organisation on a contract basis. The role concentrates on drafting and preparing Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) while supporting the permit team and contributing to traffic management across the highway network.

Qualifications

• Experience in traffic regulation, highways or traffic management.
• Understanding of Traffic Regulation Orders and their preparation.
• Knowledge of permit schemes and highway works coordination.
• Strong attention to detail when producing technical and regulatory documentation.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders.
• Availability to work a 40-hour week on a contract basis.
• Eligible to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and preparing TROs in line with highways legislation and procedures.
• Supporting the preparation, review and processing of traffic management documentation.
• Working as a member of the permit team to assist with the coordination of highway works.
• Reviewing traffic-related information and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
• Liaising with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders regarding traffic regulation matters.
• Contributing to the safe and efficient management of the highway network.
