Job summary

Quest Employment in the United Kingdom is seeking a Traffic Planner to help keep our transport operation running smoothly. Based in Wellingborough, you will plan daily vehicle routes, coordinate drivers, and liaise with customers to ensure deliveries arrive on time.

The role runs from 6am to 2pm and offers ongoing training, a supportive team environment and opportunities for long-term progression within a growing transport operation.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Traffic Planner to become the heartbeat of a busy transport operation. You'll be responsible for planning deliveries, supporting drivers, communicating with customers and making sure everything gets where it needs to be – safely, efficiently and on time.

No two days are the same, so if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy finding solutions, this could be the perfect role.

What you\'ll be doing:

• Planning daily vehicle routes and delivery schedules
• Coordinating drivers and ensuring deliveries run smoothly
• Responding quickly to delays, traffic issues and last-minute changes
• Liaising with customers, drivers and internal departments
• Keeping transport records and documentation accurate
• Supporting the accounts team with delivery queries
• Monitoring vehicle compliance and inspection schedules
• Working with depot teams to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
