Job Type: Permanent contract

Hours: 40 hours per week, working 4 days: Thursday, 10:30 - 18:15; Friday to Sunday, 06:15 - 18:15

Royal Mail is recruiting Network Distribution System Administrators. If you work well under pressure, are friendly and professional, you are the person we're looking for.

About the role

The Network Distribution System Administrator will help ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Keeping the Distribution Management System updated and inputting data daily; de-briefing drivers at the end of their shifts.
  2. Maintaining CDU/FTA, our system for recording HGV driver hours, to comply with European Legislation.
  3. Issuing vehicle keys and log books according to Royal Mail standards.
  4. Downloading digital tacho cards in line with policy.
  5. Conducting daily debriefs with drivers and passing unresolved issues to the shift manager.
  6. Ensuring vehicle maintenance is scheduled and records are up to date.
  7. Full training will be provided.

You are organized, independent, and self-motivated. You thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment, take pride in your work, and have a strong sense of community.

You are computer literate with good numeracy and literacy skills and are motivated by targets and challenges.
