Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is hiring Traffic Marshals to support major UK infrastructure and construction projects. You will help safely move vehicles and plant, direct deliveries, and maintain pedestrian-vehicle segregation on site.

Applicants should have Traffic Marshal / Banksman qualifications and a CSCS card, with a proactive health and safety mindset and strong teamwork. Training and long-term career opportunities are provided across multiple UK sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Traffic Marshal or in a construction environment.
• Good understanding of site safety requirements and traffic management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy site environment.
• Proactive approach to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely manage and control the movement of vehicles and plant equipment on site.
• Direct delivery vehicles and site traffic to designated areas.
• Ensure pedestrian and vehicle segregation is maintained.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, plant operators and site personnel.
• Maintain safe access and egress routes around the site.
• Monitor site traffic management systems and report any issues.
• Assist with the implementation of traffic management plans.
• Report hazards, near misses and safety concerns promptly.
• Follow approved safe working methods, risk assessments and site procedures at all times.
