Job summary

Romans Recruitment Group is seeking a CPCS Traffic Marshall for a Cambridge construction site. The role involves directing traffic, controlling access, guiding delivery vehicles, and keeping pedestrian routes safe, as part of a long-standing RC Frame contracting team across multiple projects in the Cambridge area.

This short-term assignment runs for 6–7 weeks with a Monday start, 9.5 hour days and Saturdays time-and-a-half, paid weekly. Free parking on site is available.

Qualifications

• Must have CPCS A73 Traffic Marshall/Banksman and CSCS cards, full 5-point PPE, proven RC Frame/Groundworks/Civils experience.
• Reliable and courteous attitude for onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Act as Traffic Marshall guiding vehicles and plant on/off site
• Manage site access and exit points
• Direct deliveries to unloading areas
• Keep pedestrian routes safe and clear
• Communicate with drivers/site staff for safe flow
• Monitor traffic to prevent hazards
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times
• Report incidents to site management

CPCS Traffic Marshall required in Cambridge to start Monday

Job Title: CPCS Traffic Marshall /NPORS + CSCS Hologram

Pay Rate: £17 -20 per - DOE

Location: Cambridge - Cambridgeshire

Hours paid: Mon to Fri - 9.5 hours + Time and a half Saturdays

Start Date: Monday 17th August

Duration: 6 to 7 weeks

One of our long standing RC Frame Contractor clients requires an experienced Traffic Marshall for an initial three month term with the realistic opportunity for ongoing work across numerous projects with our client in the Cambridge area.

Main Duties on site

• Acting as a Traffic Marshall to safely guide vehicles and plant machinery on and off site
• Managing site access and exit points
• Directing delivery vehicles to appropriate unloading areas
• Ensuring pedestrian routes remain safe and clear
• Communicating with drivers and site staff to maintain safe traffic flow
• Monitoring site traffic to prevent congestion and hazards
• Following all health and safety regulations at all times
• Reporting any incidents or hazards to site management

Must Haves

• CPCS A73 Traffic Marshall/Banksman card, CSCS card, full 5 point ppe, thorough & proven experience of working for RC Frame, Groundworks, Civils, New Build or Main Contractors previously and a reliable and courteous attitude towards the working environment
