Job summary

DX Freight is seeking a proactive Traffic Manager to lead depot operations, ensuring on-time delivery and cost-conscious service for customers across the UK. You will oversee reporting, route planning, and contractor coordination while upholding safety and compliance standards.

You will work with a supportive team, receive training and development opportunities, and contribute to DX Delivered Exactly promises and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics or distribution roles.
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong reporting and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily and weekly reports.
• Ensure collection conformance to standards.
• Oversee vehicle controls and safety compliance.

Role summary: The Traffic Manager role reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for ensuring that depot service level delivery and collection targets are achieved in line with budget whilst ensuring that we deliver the correct service level to all our Customers in adherence with company compliance processes. Key responsibilitiesManage and produce daily and weekly reports as required. Ensuring collection conformance to standards Controls all key controls for vehicles. Monitors and reviews operational performance and takes timely action to address any issues. Ensure all company legal requirements are met. Close management of sub-contractors to ensure an effective and efficient service is provided in line with budgeted cost. Manage a robust pre-brief and de-brief process is maintained at all times.
