Job summary

Southwark Council's Highways Service is seeking a Senior Traffic Management Orders Officer in London to lead the council's traffic order programme, ensuring statutory processes are completed efficiently and in line with legislation.

You will manage the TMOs team and budget, oversee consultations and notices, and provide expert technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders, supporting highway, transport and public realm projects across the borough.

Qualifications

• Experience managing traffic management order processes or similar statutory highway functions.
• Knowledge of legislation relating to traffic orders, highways, parking and signs.
• Experience managing teams and coordinating multiple projects.
• Strong customer service and public engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; reports and briefs.
• Strong IT, administrative and data management skills.
• Ability to advise senior managers and external stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with consultants and partners.
• Commitment to innovation and service improvement.
