The Southwark Highways team is evolving, with exciting opportunities, new ways of working and a strong track record of delivery. We maintain and improve the borough’s roads and footways, design schemes that enhance safety and accessibility, and work closely with communities to improve the places where people live. Our Traffic Management Orders (TMO) function provides the essential legal framework that enables transport and highways improvements to become reality.
As Senior Traffic Management Orders Officer, you will lead the delivery of the council’s traffic order programme, ensuring that statutory processes are completed efficiently, accurately and in compliance with legislative requirements.
You will manage the Traffic Management Orders team and budget, oversee consultations and legal notices, provide expert technical advice to colleagues and stakeholders, and support the successful delivery of highway, transport and public realm projects across the borough.
You will also play a key role in driving service improvements, supporting digital innovation, developing team capability and ensuring excellent outcomes for residents, businesses and visitors.
