Job summary

Class One Traffic Management is seeking a Traffic Management Operative to ensure safe traffic flow on highways and worksites around Lockerbie. You will set up traffic control measures, direct traffic during roadworks and events, and work with colleagues to keep operations running smoothly.

We offer flexible shift patterns including day and night work, with opportunities for overtime. A full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points) and Lantra qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points and held for more than 10 months.
• Lantra qualifications desirable but not essential.
• Within 40 minutes driving distance from depot.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain traffic management systems.
• Direct traffic safely during roadworks, events and emergencies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Support the cultural change programme and put people first.

We offer three flexible shift patterns designed to support a healthy balance between your work commitments and personal life. These can be a combination of days and nights.

• 12 days on 2 days off (work 12 days, weekend off and continue)
• 6 days on 1 day off
• Part-time over 4 days, shift patterns of Sat-Tue or Thurs-Sun

We also have vacancies for high-speed operatives, which involve night shifts. These roles require a 12AB Lantra qualification.
