Job summary

Qualifications

Ideal to have a degree in Engineering.
Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. ICE, CIHT, IHE).
Full, valid driving licence required.
Willingness to undertake out of hours duties.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of a substantial highway improvements programme, ensuring projects are delivered to budget and programme.
Ensure the design of projects meet local and national standards, are innovative and meet health and safety requirements.
Oversee the implementation of project management and design processes to achieve successful delivery.
Oversee contractors to ensure highway works are constructed to design and budget.
Drive the development of the team through innovative methods of working including the use of AI.
Build strong, trusted relationships with colleagues, Members and other stakeholders.
Support the team’s growth and development, creating a positive and inclusive environment where people can thrive.
