Intact Insurance UK in Gloucester is seeking an Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines team. You will underwrite and negotiate Agricultural business within your authority, and help shape our risk appetite and growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting from Commercial or Personal Lines, or agricultural insurance background.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify growth and drive new business.
• Ability to build and maintain broker relationships and communicate clearly.
• Attention to detail and robust communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Agricultural business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed

Your Skills And Experience

• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or underwriting background.

• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing relationships with brokers
• Excellent communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail
