Job summary

DRW is seeking a Software Engineer for Cumberland/Options Tools Engineering. You will embed with trading desks to build specialized solutions and, after deployment, extract reusable patterns for wider use across desks.

You will work across Python, Java, C++, and TypeScript to support a central trading platform and improve latency and reliability. You will collaborate with traders, data engineers, and other engineers to prototype quickly and ship cautiously, balancing speed with production

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience using Python, Java, C++, and ability to work in multiple languages
• Experience with linux-based, high-throughput, low-latency software systems is preferred
• Experience in financial markets, especially delta one or FICC options trading is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work with Cumberland/FICC options trading desks to develop production-grade tools
• Own products from prototype to stable production
• Embed with trading desks to understand problems and build domain models
• Build, maintain and extend the central trading platform
• Work across languages (Python, Java, C++, Typescript) and provide on-call support
