Job summary

DRW is seeking a Trading Systems Engineer to join the Cumberland team. You will work with trading, infrastructure and software development teams to provide smooth support for our technology and interact directly with counterparties, exchanges, traders and developers to resolve issues.

You will help establish production support, monitor systems, and maintain the health of the trading ecosystem while collaborating across global teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• Experience with proprietary trading systems and troubleshooting production incidents.
• Experience with scripting in Python and Bash.
• Experience with SQL and Linux environments.
• Ability to collaborate with traders and engineers in a 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish best-in-class production support, efficient software deployment, configuration processes, and proactive monitoring to minimize downtime.
• Maintain health and availability of a world-class trading ecosystem to minimize downtime.
• Respond to support requests from traders and software engineers.
• Liaise with external trading partners, such as exchanges and clearing firms, to resolve technical problems.
• Collaborate with traders, DBAs, development, back office, QA, infrastructure, and management teams to ensure continuity in a 24x7 environment.
• Build documentation for common procedures, troubleshooting scenarios and system architecture.
