B&Q Limited is seeking a Trading Team Manager Designate to lead a high-performing team on the sales floor and deliver exceptional customer service across the Birmingham area. You will learn across a cluster of stores and support stock, promotions, and availability.

The role involves 3–6 months of cross-store exposure in the Birmingham area, followed by placement into a department or store within 50 miles of your home. Permanent contract and travel are required.

• Experience in leading teams in a retail environment.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues to improve customer service.
• Proven track record in stock management and store operations.

Trading Team Manager Designate position - various locations across Birmingham, Coventry & Wolverhampton

As a B&Q designate manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn about us and our business, typically spending 3-6 months working across a cluster of stores (in the Birmingham area). You’ll experience management training in various store formats before being placed into your own department or store.

Due to the nature of this role, there’ll be some flexibility and travel required during your time as a designate, before being placed within a store that matches your experience within 50 miles of where you live.

• Drive commercial delivery of the core trading sales floor, leading end-to-end stock management, range change and promotions.
• Conduct regular commercial reviews using sales data, loyalty insights, and customer feedback.
• Support colleagues to build deep product knowledge and meaningful customer interactions to make every customer count
