Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a North West Local Authority for an experienced Trading Standards Officer on an interim basis. The role covers frontline enforcement and advisory work across consumer protection, fair trading, product safety, underage sales and business compliance.

You will investigate complaints, perform compliance visits, conduct inspections and enforcement actions, and prepare reports and witness statements.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Local Authority Trading Standards service.
• Trading Standards qualification (DCATS/DTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience handling a broad range of Trading Standards matters.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload.

Desirable

• Animal Feed qualification and experience would be highly desirable and considered a significant advantage.
