Job summary

Fuse Energy is hiring a Data Lead to own trading data end to end, from the moment data enters Fuse to the moment traders or models rely on it. You’ll be accountable for correctness, timeliness, reproducibility and usefulness, setting the ceiling for desk performance and enabling fast, reliable decision-making.

You will own data as a product, design scalable time-series schemas, ship pipelines, evaluate vendors, and lead a growing team across ingestion, storage and delivery to support real-time

Qualifications

• Experience owning and shipping data products used by traders or quants.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical rigour: profiling and optimizing systems.
• Expertise in time-series data handling, revisions and late-arriving data.
• Experience negotiating with data vendors and balancing cost vs value.

Responsibilities

• Own trading data as a product across data sources and ensure reliability.
• Ship datasets and pipelines to production quickly.
• Design canonical schemas supporting point-in-time correctness and backtesting.
• Develop vendor onboarding, coverage, latency and licensing strategies.
• Build monitoring for data freshness and anomalies and define break processes.
• Lead and grow a data engineering team and map data flows across the business.
