Job summary

Asda is hiring a Trading Assistant - In Store Cake to support the Buyer with sales tracking, promotional planning and admin duties. You will help analyse daily sales, manage line listings, and liaise with suppliers to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-moving buying environment.

The role focuses on accurate data handling, cost and retail updates, and contributing to range decisions while supporting store operations and ensuring efficiency across the category.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying/admin support in retail is a plus.
• Good numerical and data handling skills for sales reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the Buyer in all areas including sales tracking and analysis.
• Keep admin up to date (line listings, cost and retail changes).
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure deadlines and tasks are met.
• Input decisions on ranges and promotions and respond to store/supplier queries.
• Raise and reconcile internal and external invoices for the category.

And doing it as efficiently as possible will bring savings to our customers as well as to our business. You will support the Buyer in all areas, including sales tracking and analysis. It's important that you keep the admin up to date, including line listing, cost and retail changes and liaise with suppliers to ensure that they keep to deadlines and tasks. You will Impute into decisions on ranges and promotions and answer and resolve store/supplier queries. Other important tasks include raising and reconciling of internal and external invoices to the category and assisting the Buyer with competitor research and the day to day trading of your category.
