The Team

We are looking for a Trading Assistant / Junior Trader Support to join our Trading team in Thame.

Our Trading team is responsible for trading grains, oilseeds, pulses, and animal feed products within the UK market and internationally. The team operates across a wide range of activities including trading, risk management, logistics planning, trade execution, and supporting origination and sales teams.

Working closely with consumers, brokers, and trading houses, the team also collaborates regularly with trading colleagues around the world, particularly within our Geneva office, ensuring informed commercial decisions are made across the business.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide essential support to the trading function through a variety of analytical and operational activities, including:

  • Daily reconciliation of commodity and currency positions
  • Producing position audit reports to help traders monitor market movements
  • Contract entry and maintenance, including amendments where required
  • Supporting the production of monthly profit and loss reports for the procurement team
  • Compiling industry statistics and market analysis for internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Providing broad trading support across the team as required
