Job summary

Withers is recruiting a Trade Mark Paralegal to join our London Intellectual Property team. You will support Trade Mark Attorneys, liaise with clients and external offices, and help manage a high-volume portfolio across jurisdictions.

The role requires experience with trade marks in an IP environment, strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently while delivering tasks on time. This is a collaborative, client‑focused position in a dynamic firm.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with trade marks in an IP environment.
• Experience with conducting trade mark searches and producing search reports.
• Knowledge of trade mark management databases (WebTMS / IPPO).
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Trade Mark Attorneys and fee earners with administration and docketing.
• Liaise with clients, third party agents and correspondent firms.
• Carry out trade mark searches and prepare search reports.
• Manage renewal and maintenance deadlines, and update portfolios.
• Assist with oppositions, cancellations and IP due diligence.
• Collaborate with the legal team to develop docketing processes.
