Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Trade Parts Advisor– Mercedes-Benz Nottingham to join our busy parts department. You will be the face of customer service, handling face-to-face and telephone inquiries with a focus on timely, accurate information and strong relationship-building.

The role is within a global automotive group offering progression opportunities. You will engage in parts guidance, tele sales to trade customers, and ensure accurate records while supporting promotions and supplier

• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to customers on parts availability with timely, accurate information.
• Operate in a fast-paced call centre environment handling high volumes of inbound/outbound calls.
• Engage in tele sales activities to promote parts, offers and services to trade customers.
• Demonstrate strong communication and sales skills to convert enquiries into orders.
• Receive, log, and allocate parts and consumables from suppliers.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to external and internal customers.
• Offer knowledgeable recommendations on suitable parts to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate customer records on our systems.
• Communicate promotions, offers and product information to customers.
• Familiarize with all procedures in the parts department.
• Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer and suppliers.

What you’ll do day to day

• Demonstrate strong communication and sales skills to convert enquiries into orders and build lasting customer relationships
• Receive, log, and accurately allocate parts and consumables from suppliers
• Deliver outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers
• Offer knowledgeable recommendations on suitable parts to meet customer requirements
• Maintain accurate customer records on our systems
• Effectively communicate relevant promotions, offers, and product information to customers
• Ensure full familiarity with all procedures and processes within the parts department
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with the manufacturer and suppliers

• Proficient in IT, with experience of using web-based systems, email, and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
