Sanctuary Group in Glasgow invites applications for a Trade Operative (Joiner) to join our Reactive Maintenance team. The role covers sites across Central and West Scotland, with a company van and tools supplied for daily duties.

Working 40 hours weekly, Mon–Fri, 8:00am–16:30pm, you will carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance to contract specs, maintain tools, and respond promptly to faults while keeping customers informed.

Competenze

• Candidate must be NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in core subject; Level 3 in Plumbing if it is core
• WRAS or in training for the qualification; bring original certificates to interview
• Compliant with Health and Safety legislation; CSCS cards not accepted copies

Mansioni

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance per contract specifications
• Ensure tools/equipment are maintained and restocked as needed
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns, resolve or initiate resolution and keep customers informed
• Provide accurate, timely information on progress of works to customers

We have an opportunity for a Trade Operative to join our Reactive Maintenance team, based in Glasgow. The role will occasionally involve lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team as and when required. With a company van and tools included the role will cover sites across the Central and West Scotland area.

The role of Trade Operative will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ/SVQ Level 2 in core subject. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing if plumbing is core, Unvented - G3 Certificate, Water Regulations (WRAS) or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid manual UK driving licence
