Job summary

OneAPPS Consulting in London is seeking a deskside support specialist to join our finance-focused team. You will provide second-level technical support on the trade floor, install and configure desktops and docking stations, and own tickets to prevent escalation.

You will apply ITIL service support practices, resolve Bloomberg, Refinitiv and related app queries, and communicate effectively with users under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance industry, investment banking.
• Deskside support in a complex environment with second-level support within a team.
• Installation and configuration of trade floor desktops, monitor setups and docking stations.
• Taking ownership of tickets and managing trade floor users' expectations to avoid escalation.
• Excellent understanding of ITIL Service Support, delivery disciplines and methodologies.
• Providing time-critical trade floor support for software queries (Bloomberg, WEY, Local business apps).
• Experience of market data applications (Bloomberg, Refinitiv), market data feeds and troubleshooting Excel Add-ins.
• Experience using a help desk call management system.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight timescales.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills.
• Strong technical grasp of Microsoft Windows, Networking and Security, WAN, LAN.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside support for trade floor desktops and peripherals.
• Take ownership of incidents and manage user expectations to avoid escalations.
• Install and configure trade floor desktops, monitors, and docking stations.
• Assist users with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, and other internal applications.
• Follow ITIL processes for incident and service management.
• Resolve market data application issues and Excel Add-ins problems.
• Maintain ticketing system updates and user communications.
