Senior Associate, Forfaiting and Receivables
A city-based international bank is looking to recruit a Senior Associate to join their Forfaiting and Receivables team.
Main responsibilities include:
- Handling general daily administration duties, such as purchasing various Trade Finance Products (e.g., Promissory Notes, Bills of Exchange, and Receivables under Forfaiting structures), checking documentation, rate fixing, discounting, fees, rollovers, payments, cancellations, collection of funds, all in accordance with documented processes and guided by experienced team members.
- Managing daily administration under Master Receivable Financing Agreements, including checking drawdown documentation and limits, rate fixes, discount calculations, fees, maturity extensions, payments, cancellations, receipt and allocation of funds, credit notes, early repayments, and part payments, following established procedures.
- Reviewing facility documentation for understanding and operational feasibility in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate, under guidance.
- Preparing Sales/Participations requests from the GTDD desk through documentation exchange, execution, and monitoring, acting in a pseudo-agency role, with guidance from experienced team members.
- Positioning and creating payments related to Forfaiting & Receivable Trade Finance Products within currency cut-off times.
- Escalating breaches, red flags, and other issues, including non-performing transactions, to your reporting line, Head of Department, or Support Manager, following documented processes.
To be considered for this position, candidates should have the following experience and skills:
- Minimum of two years of previous work experience in a Trade Finance function.
- The ability to remain calm under pressure from the business and clients.
- Accuracy and methodical approach.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Foreign language skills are an advantage.
