Job Description:

Trade Finance Administrator - Trade Finance Operations, Technology & Operations

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Processing the whole life cycle of Trade Finance products: Import/export letters of credit (issuing, advising, confirming, amendments, documentary presentations), reimbursement claims/payments, internal and external enquiries, guarantees, SBLCs, risk participation processing, trade loans, refinancing and discounting.
  2. Ensure all upcoming maturities and obligations are regularly monitored and settled on time. Regular chasers and daily calendar items to be managed for timely action.
  3. Able to pro-actively engage with team members to support understanding and training on all systems and procedures.
  4. Ensure good communication, daily interaction and close working relationship between Trade Operations and Middle Office, Relationship Managers and other support areas.
  5. Work on system UAT and LV projects.
  6. Adhere to governing rules, UCP, URC, SOP, procedures, and all relevant controls.
  7. Ensure processing is affected in a team spirit and avoid silo based attitudes where people should think beyond their immediate work space and consider the wider team's pressure points thereby delivering maximum efficiency.

Skills & Requirements:

  1. Knowledge of all aspects of Trade Finance Processing.
  2. Basic banking and regulatory requirements knowledge.
  3. CDCS qualification is preferred but not required.
  4. The successful candidate must have right to work in the UK and do not require sponsorship (now or in the future).
