Job summary

Plumb Centre in Bishops Stortford is seeking a Sales Assistant to support trade customers on the counter, advise on plumbing and heating products, and process orders. You'll respond to enquiries by phone and email, and help identify sales opportunities while delivering friendly, professional service.

This full-time, permanent role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 07:00–17:00 with occasional Saturday mornings.

Qualifications

• Plumbing & Heating knowledge ideal
• Face to Face sales experience
• Customer service experience
• Warehouse experience
• Team player
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Serving customers on the trade counter with advice and product recommendations
• Responding to customer enquiries by phone and email promptly and courteously
• Making outbound calls to previous customers to regain business
• Identifying sales opportunities within the branch and engaging customers
• Carrying out general warehouse duties including stock intake, picking and packing
