Franklin Fitch is seeking a Trackside IT Support Engineer to join a prestigious client site in the Midlands. The role combines cutting-edge technology with motorsport excitement, delivering critical infrastructure and network support trackside and off-track.

You will provide 1st class IT operational support, work with a focused team, and offer 24/7 remote assistance on race days. A strong customer service mindset and ITIL certification are essential.

• ITIL Foundation Certification is required.
• Degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Microsoft Certifications are preferred.
• Interest in motorsports and willingness to rota on off-hours work.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver 1st class IT operational support trackside & TestOps during race seasons.
• Collaborate with a small team to support stakeholders and maintain IT service.
• Provide 24/7 remote support to trackside staff on race days and testing.
• Prioritize tasks and manage customer expectations under SLAs and deadlines.
• Identify and implement improvements to IT services, reliability, performance and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Support: Deliver 1st class IT operational support, particularly in Trackside & TestOps areas, ensuring uninterrupted service during race seasons.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a small, specialized team to support key stakeholders and maintain exceptional IT service.
• Race Day IT Support: Provide dedicated 24/7 remote support to trackside staff during high-pressure race days and testing.
• Service Excellence: Prioritize tasks effectively and manage customer expectations, delivering technical and operational solutions within strict SLAs and deadlines.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to IT services and processes to improve reliability, performance, and security.

What You’ll Need

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office/365, Active Directory, Group Policy Management, and networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WAN, LAN). Experience with storage systems and performance monitoring tools is beneficial.
• Customer Service Focus: A strong, customer-centric attitude with the ability to consistently deliver excellent service.
• ITIL Knowledge: ITIL Foundation certification is required, along with practical experience in service management.
• Team Player: Ability to build positive relationships within the team and with external partners, while providing additional support when needed.
• Flexibility: Willingness to provide out-of-hours support, including on-site trackside and race team assistance, on a rota basis.
