Job summary

Cadillac Formula 1 Team in Silverstone seeks a Composite Event Support Technician to prepare, assemble, and maintain high-performance composite components for race events, working to strict tolerances and aerodynamic specs. You will support car builds during events, conduct quality inspections, and drive process improvements while travelling to race and test venues as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in composite trimming, finishing, and assembly within a Formula 1 or high-level motorsport environment.
• Highly skilled with precision hand and power tools; committed to delivering work of the highest quality under tight tolerances.
• Proven experience building composite assemblies fit for trackside use.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to craftsmanship, with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit, and prepare high-performance composite components for race events, meeting exact dimensional and aerodynamic standards.
• Prepare composite bolted assemblies for race and test events in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide hands-on technical support during car builds, race weekends, test sessions and development programs.
• Carry out repairs and modifications to composite assemblies during event turnaround periods, at the factory and on the road.
• Conduct in-process quality inspections and document build status to support trackside operations.
• Drive continuous improvement in assembly efficiency and workplace organisation.
