Job description

Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Toyota Cheltenham. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am to 1pm.

Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.

Basic salaries range from £32,000 to £40,000, with OTEs from £38,000 to £48,000.

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Service, repair, and diagnose all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring high standards are met first time.
  2. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
  3. Conduct repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
  4. Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
  5. Understand and prioritize Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
  6. Operate additional systems such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
  7. Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
  8. Collaborate with workshop team members to share knowledge and learn continually.
About You
  1. Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
  2. Experience in independent garages, fast fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is welcome.
  3. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, with ongoing training encouraged.
  4. Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualification is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
  5. MOT license is beneficial but not essential.
  6. Full UK Driving License.
  7. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high standards of work.
