Job summary

Steven Eagell Group in Chelmsford is hiring a Vehicle Technician to service, repair and diagnose vehicles to Toyota GB standards. You will inspect and report faults, complete work efficiently, and maintain high customer service levels.

The role requires a Level 2 Technician (or Diagnostic Technician) with a UK driving licence and a preference for MOT tester qualification. Training and progression opportunities are included through the Centre network.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence
• Qualified as a Level 2 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician
• MOT Tester qualification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to Toyota GB standards and ensure high-quality work.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults, including non-routine issues.
• Identify and report defects in line with MOT and VSR requirements.
• Complete work within allocated time and maintain productivity.
• Handle tools and workshop equipment with care and report defects.
• Follow Toyota Centre processes and work safely at all times.
• Communicate clearly with customers and explain work done.
• Support and coach apprentice technicians to develop skills.
• Attend required specialist training to maintain expertise.
• Work as part of the Centre team to deliver outstanding service.
