Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join our Toyota dealership in Bristol. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with Saturdays on a rota basis.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Service, repair, and diagnose all vehicles in the workshop, ensuring work is completed to the highest standard first time.
2. Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
3. Additional responsibilities may include repairs and maintenance on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, auxiliary drive packs, and control systems.
4. Fit manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
5. Understand and prioritize Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
6. Operate additional systems such as video reporting (e.g., CitNOW) after training.
7. Complete all service paperwork to manufacturer and brand standards.
8. Collaborate with other workshop team members to learn and share knowledge.

About You

1. Experience in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
2. Experience at independent garages, fast fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is welcome.
3. Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
4. Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
5. MOT license is beneficial but not essential.
6. Full UK Driving Licence.
7. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with a commitment to high standards of work.
