Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Cambridge is seeking a Town Planner to join a respected planning consultancy. The role offers real responsibility across a varied workload and support toward chartership and professional advancement.

The successful candidate will prepare planning statements, submit applications, advise clients, and conduct policy analysis. This is a full-time, permanent role with hybrid working options in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning or related, ideally RTPI-accredited.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare planning statements, appraisals and supporting documents for projects of varying complexity.
• Draft and submit planning applications and appeals and track progress to decision.
• Advise clients at all stages of planning and development processes.
• Assess development opportunities and potential.Carry out planning policy research and analysis.
• Contribute to community engagement and consultations.
• Attend meetings, site visits and client discussions.
• Help shape proposals and project scopes.
