Hedon Town Council is seeking a Town Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer to manage administration and services. Hedon Town Council invites applications for the position of Town Clerk & Responsible Financial Officer.
This is a post of 128 hours per calendar month. The successful applicant will work four days per week from the Town Hall and attend Council meetings in the evenings. The role includes some weekend work and attendance at civic functions.
Responsibilities include managing the Council’s administration and services, servicing Council meetings, acting as financial officer, managing the town cemetery, overseeing community areas including a children’s play area and skate park, conducting research, advising Councillors, and other duties as appropriate.
Applicants should have obtained the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to study and achieve this qualification within 2 years.
The successful candidate will be eligible to join the local government pension scheme.
