Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a creative Town Centre Coordination & Engagement Officer to support regeneration priorities and engage with local businesses and communities.

You will plan, film, edit and publish social media content, help deliver town centre initiatives and events, and act as an ambassador in the field. Hybrid working and a generous benefits package accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Experience creating, filming and editing engaging social media content.
• Ability to produce reels and short-form video using mobile devices.
• Comfort appearing on camera and interviewing stakeholders and the public.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in marketing, communications or social media management.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
• Proficient IT skills and confidence with digital platforms.
• Creative, proactive storyteller with edge for engaging content opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Visiting town centres and engaging with local business communities.
• Building relationships with businesses, stakeholders and partner organisations.
• Planning, filming, editing and publishing engaging social media content, including reels, short-form videos, photography and business features.
• Supporting the delivery of town centre initiatives, campaigns, promotional activities and events.
• Monitoring town centre conditions and coordinating responses with relevant services.
• Maintaining records, databases and engagement information to support service delivery and reporting.
