An established industry player is seeking a Senior Substance Misuse Commissioning Manager to lead the recommissioning of vital drug and alcohol services. This pivotal role focuses on ensuring that services are tailored to community needs while maintaining high performance and compliance standards. The Senior Substance Misuse Commissioning Manager will play a central role in the recommissioning of services, ensuring a structured, co-produced, and needs-led approach. Alongside this, they will continue to oversee existing service delivery, ensuring provider performance and harm reduction initiatives remain on track.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the recommissioning of drug and alcohol services, ensuring procurement processes align with local needs, national policy, and best practice.
Overseeing provider contract management, ensuring services meet performance targets, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
Engaging and coordinating key stakeholders, including health, social care, housing, and criminal justice partners, to inform service design and delivery.
Embedding co-production, ensuring service user voices shape the future service model.
Maintaining focus on harm reduction initiatives, including drug-related death prevention, naloxone distribution, and responses to contaminated drug supply.
Ensuring robust data collection, reporting, and performance analysis, providing evidence for commissioning decisions and service improvements.
