Job summary

Indespension, a leading trailer manufacturer, seeks a Towbar Fitter and Service Technician at the Gatwick Branch in Crawley to fit towbars and service trailers, upholding health and safety standards and assisting the branch in achieving sales and margin targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle mechanics and/or electrics, a full clean driving licence, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach. Salary is £30,000 per annum with a branch bonus scheme and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience of vehicle mechanics and/or electrics.
• Experience of towbar fitting would be advantageous.
• Proactive individual with the motivation to succeed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Fit towbars to customer vehicles and ensure workmanship aligns with customer property handling standards.
• Service and repair the Company's fleet of hire trailers to the agreed schedule.
• Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the hire fleet for servicing purposes.
• Assemble and modify trailers as required and ensure all fits/repairs meet timeframes and quality standards.
• Undertake daily duties as designated by Branch Team and Workshop Diary.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy and maintain tools/equipment in good working order.
