Job summary

Indespension Derby is seeking a Towbar & Service Technician in Gatwick. The role involves fitting towbars to customer vehicles, servicing and repairing customer trailers, and maintaining records for the hire fleet.

Basic hours are 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours) with a monthly bonus scheme and a generous leave entitlement. Applicants must hold a current UK driving licence and be able to work to the Branch/Worskhop diary, following company procedures and using online resources for

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence.
Ability to fit tow bars to customer vehicles.
Experience in servicing and repairing trailers.

Responsibilities

Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop diary.
Fit towbars to Customer vehicles.
Service and repair Customer trailers.
Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule.
Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the Company hire fleet for servicing purposes.
Ensure all towbar fits and trailer services/repairs are completed in an acceptable timeframe and quality.
Keep up to date with any changes to suppliers’ towbar fitting instructions including wiring via the Branch Network and use of the internet/intranet.
Assemble and modify trailers as required.
Ascertain faults and provide technical advice as required.
Be fully conversant with all Company systems/procedures.
