Job Description:

Cyient is looking for a Tool Design Engineer for onsite deployment in the UK to work in a high-tech production facility delivering composite aircraft components.

Required Skills:

1. Minimum 5 years experience in Tool Design related to composite molds and assembly jigs, Design for Manufacture (DFM)
2. Hands on experience with Catia V5
3. Experience in development of tooling solutions (mould tools; 5 axis fixtures; assembly jigs; shop aids) from original concept through to production.
4. Resolving issues in the internal and external supply chain
5. Safety-first and Zero-Defect manufacturing mindset
6. Create tool fabrication quotes, tooling input for new product quotes, tooling configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination & implementation
7. Utilizing root cause analysis, preventative and corrective action to reduce/eliminate non-conformances.
8. Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives

Desired Skills:

1. Bachelors degree of diploma in Manufacturing or related Engineering Courses
2. Familiarity with ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000
3. Background in Aerospace industry
4. Familiarity with AS9145 APQP process or equivalent
5. Understanding and use of an ERP system
6. Experience of interpreting aged drawings
