Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Tool Room Technician to join a manufacturing environment. You will maintain, service and repair plastic injection mould tooling, ensuring tools are ready for production and downtime is minimised.

This hands-on role requires a background in injection mould tooling or similar, with strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills. Opportunities for long-term career growth and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with injection mould tools or similar mechanical tooling.
• Strong mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
• Ability to strip, inspect and rebuild tooling.
• Good understanding of mould construction and components.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plastic injection mould tools.
• Strip down, clean, inspect and service moulds and components.
• Identify worn or defective tooling components and recommend action.
• Complete routine tooling repairs and replace components as required.
• Maintain mould bases and tooling equipment.
• Prepare tooling and spare components for production needs.
• Ensure moulds are cleaned, serviced and operational before production.
• Respond to tooling issues and support reactive maintenance.
