Elix Sourcing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer - Injection Moulding in Washington, Tyne and Wear. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on plastic injection moulding tooling and presses, diagnosing faults and implementing corrective actions across a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires TIG welding expertise (MIG/ARC beneficial) and experience with hot runner/manifold systems.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining injection mould tooling in plastics manufacturing.
• Welding: TIG essential; MIG/ARC beneficial.
• Valid UK work permit required.

Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineer - Injection Moulding £50,000 - £55,000 per annum + Overtimex1.5 x2 + Training + Progression 3 Shift Washington, Tyne and Wear

Are you an experienced Injection Mould Toolmaker or Tooling Technician, looking to join a well-established, global manufacturing company offering training, overtime and long-term career opportunities?

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a maintenance engineer to join the team, working out of their state-of-the-art facility in Washington.

You will be involved in planned and reactive maintenance on press and injection moulding tooling in a fast-paced production environment, as well as diagnosing tooling failures and implementing corrective actions. You will also be required to carry out MIG, TIG and Arc welding as required.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintaining and repairing injection mould tools within a plastics manufacturing environment. Candidates with a background solely in metal pressing, fabrication or general toolmaking will not be suitable.

The Candidate:

• Maintenance experience within plastic injection moulding
• TIG Welding essential, MIG and ARC highly beneficial
• Experience with hot runner/manifold systems highly beneficial
