Job summary

Kinetic Plc in Blackpool is seeking a Toolroom Machinist for a permanent role on a 4-day week (Mon-Thu), 36 hours, dayshift. You will set up and operate manual milling, turning and grinding machines to produce precision components.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with toolroom machinery, be detail‑oriented, proactive and able to work under pressure, with strong communication and organisational skills. Salary circa £35,000, with dayshift hours and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating milling, turning and grinding machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling, turning and grinding machines.
• Manufacture precision components to drawings and instructions.
• Provide engineering support to the Production and Press Shop departments.
• Assist all areas of the Works Engineering department when required.
• Liaise with supervisor on maintenance issues and with work schedules.
• Be flexible with working hours; additional hours may be required to complete projects.
