You will manufacture precision components from drawings using manual mills, lathes and boring machines, including one-off and small-batch projects. The role requires strong conventional milling and turning, drawing interpretation, and strict tolerance control. The position offers a 4-day week with overtime opportunities and up to £18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Strong conventional/manual milling and turning experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable, self-motivated approach to work.
• Experience with boring operations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual mills, lathes and boring machines.
• Manufacture one-off and small-batch precision components.
• Work from engineering drawings and maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect and measure completed components to ensure quality.
• Maintain accuracy and quality standards throughout machining.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and work independently when needed.
