Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting a Fitter/Toolmaker in Wales. You will maintain tooling to keep production running smoothly, with a shift-based pattern and Saturdays off.

The role requires hands-on tooling experience and an engineering qualification, with a structured workshop and opportunities to work with the technical team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Toolmaker or in mechanical maintenance looking after production tooling.
• Engineering qualification such as NVQ, BTEC or HNC is required.
• Confident use of toolroom equipment including lathes, mills and grinders.

Responsibilities

• Service and set up tools to specification, ready for production with the right equipment and fittings.
• Repair tooling using in-house resources and external subcontractors.
• Control the spares and materials needed to keep tooling in good order.
• Trial new tools and help develop processes with the technical team.
• Keep quality compliance records and documentation accurate.
• Work with the production, technical, quality and maintenance teams.
