Job summary

Sigma Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Toolmaker/Fitter for a plastics injection-moulding operation. You will keep mould tools running, diagnose faults, machine fixes and return production to spec, rather than building tools from scratch.

The role runs 8-hour rotating shifts with Saturdays off, giving you planning stability and free weekends. Shifts are: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am. Remuneration includes up to £43,380 per year with shift allowance, healthcare, 5% company pension, and 26

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining tools as a maintenance toolmaker or toolroom fitter.
• Hands-on machining experience with lathes, mills and surface grinders.
• Proven fitting skills and ability to repair tooling.

Responsibilities

• Service and set up tools to specification for production.
• Repair tooling using in-house resources and external subcontractors.
• Manage spares and materials to keep tooling in good order.
• Trial new tools and assist process development with the technical team.
• Keep quality compliance records and documentation up to date.
• Collaborate with production, technical, quality and maintenance teams.
