Pertemps West Bromwich are looking for an experienced Toolroom Engineer/Toolroom Operative for a manufacturing client in Oldbury. The role runs 07:30–16:00 Monday–Thursday and 07:30–12:30 Friday, paying £17.45 per hour for the right candidate.

Manufacture and repair press and shear tooling to drawings, maintain tooling, and fault-find to minimise downtime. You will use CNC and manual machinery including surface grinders, milling machines, lathes and wire EDM, supporting tooling try-outs within

Qualifications

• Proven experience in toolroom tooling manufacture and repair to engineering drawings.
• Experience with CNC and manual machining processes including surface grinding, milling and turning.
• Willingness to operate forklift trucks and overhead cranes with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and repair press and shear tooling to drawings and tolerances.
• Carry out maintenance and fault-finding to minimise production downtime.
• Use CNC and manual machinery, including surface grinders, milling machines, lathes and wire EDM.
• Support tooling try-outs and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales.
• Operate Forklift Trucks and Overhead Cranes when required—training provided.
