Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd. is recruiting a Toolmaker for a major global manufacturer in Blaenau Gwent. You will manufacture, assemble, modify and repair injection mould tools to drawings and tolerances.

The role offers £30,000 - £40,000, plus a company pension, sick pay and excellent training programmes, with real progression in a dynamic environment.

This is a hands-on position that requires experience with tooling maintenance, diagnostics and root-cause analysis to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Toolmaker.
• Experience working on injection mould tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, modify, and repair injection mould tools to defined drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mould tools to ensure reliability, consistency, and extended tool life.
• Diagnose tooling issues affecting quality, cycle time, or scrap and implement effective corrective actions.
• Support tool trials, set-ups, and validation activities in conjunction with Engineering and Production.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling‑related non-conformities or customer complaints.
