TOOLMAKER

BUXTON

DOUBLE DAYS (MORNINGS/AFTERS)

We are looking for a motivated Toolmaker to join a market leading manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Tooling Supervisor you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development, this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong tooling engineer looking for their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.

Role Description:

  1. Taking out and regrinding press tools, making machine spares, using wire eroders, spark eroders and milling and grinding and improvement activity, designing and manufacturing components and improvements to machines and helping with preventative maintenance.
  2. Manufacture production spares using a range of machinery including - Manual miller, lathe, surface grinder, EDM die sinking machine, wire eroder, CNC miller.
  3. Accurately use measuring equipment to ensure all manufactured parts are within tolerance.
  4. Repair, maintain and improve press and mould tools.
  5. Efficiency improvement in various processes.
  6. Interpret detailed engineering drawings, working to high tolerances.

Skills and Qualifications:
  1. 3+ Years Experience.
  2. Apprentice Trained - Tooling.
  3. Press & Mould Tooling Experience.
  4. CAD Experience/Qualification - Advantageous.
